Chicopee Rotary Helping Hands Program benefits needy families

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Dozens of needy families will be able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Turkey with all the fixings thanks to the Chicopee Rotary Club.

It's called the Helping Hands Program.

Volunteers from the Chicopee Rotary used our 22News garage Tuesday as a staging area to pack up and deliver boxes of food to more than 140 local families.

The Chicopee Rotary Club also distributes food to hungry families at Christmas and Easter.
