SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - If you haven't finished your holiday shopping yet, you're not alone.

The Eastfield Mall opened at 7am Saturday morning, and will stay open until 11pm.

A Consumer Reports survey found that 68% of us are still not done with our holiday shopping, and most of us will shop right up until closing time Christmas Eve.

But there may be some rewards to waiting until last minute.

Many stores and websites are offering a substantial discount.

Retail experts say this weekend, you may find deals like 30 to 40% off on all your purchases.

On top of that, many malls will have extended hours.

In Western Mass.,  the Eastfield Mall isn't the only mall to open early and close late.

The Holyoke Mall will also stay open until 11 pm this weekend.

And on Christmas Eve open from 8 to 6.

The Hampshire Mall will close at 10pm this weekend..

Holyoke Police have safety tips for you this holiday season:

  • Never leave your purchases in your car and then go back inside the mall.
  • Always keep your phone in your hand or in your purse or pockets, not on store counters or shelves.
