Holyoke city clerk to retire

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - After more than four decades of service to the city of Holyoke, City Clerk Susan Egan has announced her plans to retire.

In a letter to the city council, Egan cited her ailing health as her reason for retiring.

She thanked several people whom she worked with over the years including former Mayors, City Councilors, and staff from the city clerk and registrar's office.

Egan's retirement is effective March 1st.
