Holyoke mayor's brother, Doug Morse, arrested in connection with Longmeadow bank robbery

LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - The second of two suspects wanted in connection with a Longmeadow bank robbery was arrested this weekend.

Holyoke Police Lt. Matthew Moriarty confirmed to 22News that Doug Morse, the brother of Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse, was arrested during a traffic stop on South Canal Street Saturday night.

Longmeadow Police had a warrant out for his arrest on charges that he was the getaway driver during the robbery of the Berkshire Bank on March 24th.

Morse will be arraigned on Monday.

Mayor Alex Morse previously released statements that his brother "has struggled with addiction his entire adult life."
