Holyoke Police Department arrest alleged copper thieves

Drain pipes from Wistariahurst Museum

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing copper drain pipes from the Wistariahurst Museum in Holyoke.

Holyoke Police Lt. Matthew Moriarty told 22News Joseph Comstock of Springfield and Keith Fitzherbert of Holyoke were spotted on the grounds of the museum just after 2:00 AM last Tuesday.

When police arrived, they found copper piping in the rear seat of the car. Comstock and Fitzhebert were sitting in on a nearby street.

Both men have been charged with destruction of property, larceny and trespassing.
