HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke Police Officer Loumag Alicea is in jail, following an alleged domestic dispute with his wife.
Holyoke Police Captain Arthur Monfette told 22News that Alicea was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Monfette couldn't yet release all the details of the case, but said that Alicea's wife is okay.
Officer Alicea was arraigned in court Friday afternoon.
Monfette said that Alicea been a police officer in Holyoke for about 14 years. He's being held at the Franklin County Jail in Greenfield, and has another court appearance scheduled for Monday, October 1.
