SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - As the nights get colder, disadvantaged people have again turned to Springfield's Open Pantry Community Services for warm clothing.

Open Pantry Director Allison Maynard told 22News that clothing donated for tornado victims has stocked the shelves at the People’s Center free clothing store. Those donations have helped, but they are still in need of more winter clothing.

“We deal a lot with the homeless population. Sometimes they're sleeping outside, so they come to get warm clothing, to keep them warm during the night,” Maynard said.

If you have warm clothes to donate, bring them to the People’s Center at 287 State Street in Springfield any weekday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
