PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) - Palmer Police are looking for the intruders who endangered the horses at Blue Star Equiculture , a sanctuary for older horses.
Palmer Police chief Robert Freydryk told 22News, He'll increase patrols at the farm. Blue Star Director Pamela Rickenbach reported someone had opened the main gate this weekend, and several horses could have been hit by a car.
Pamela told 22Nrews, “It’s really disgusting because the only thing that happens here is good for the horses. We're either rehabilitating the horses, for the rest of their lives or giving them health care that they need.”
Among the 30 horses Blue Star cares for, a retired working horse that used to pull the carriages in New York’s Central Park.
