1 family homeless after house fire destroys home

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - One family is homeless after a fire destroyed their home on 98 Mount Vernon Road in Chicopee .

Chicopee Deputy Fire Chief Daniel Dupre told 22News they received the call around 5:45 Sunday morning.

The fire started in the rear upper level of the house, and woke up the 4 people who live inside. They all got out safely.

Chicopee Fire is looking into the cause of the fire.
