House fire on Cleveland Street in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Aide to the Fire Commissioner Denis Leger told 22News that somebody intentionally set a pile of trash on fire on the third floor of the home.

The started at 45-47 Cleveland Street at around 5 o'clock Sunday night.

Leger said nobody had been living in the house for about two years.

The fire damaged the third floor, but was quickly put out by the Springfield Fire Department.

The arson squad is investigating.
