HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Nearly 450 people put on their dancing shoes for a good cause Saturday night at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.

Saturday's Fancy Steps fundraiser benefited the Holyoke Children's Museum. Those who attended enjoyed dinner and dancing. There was also a celebrity dance exhibition where 12 couples strutted their stuff to a choreographed number.

One of those dancers told us why she made it a point to be a part of this fundraiser. "I love volunteering and giving back my time and we just want to make the museum a better place for the kids to go and this is the way were able to do it by funding it," said Eileen Leahy.

This event was emceed by our 22News Mass Appeal hosts Seth and Ashley. Organizers told us they hope to raise more than 30,000 dollars for the Children's Museum.
