CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - It's a sign St. Patrick's Day is almost here.

The Chicopee Colleen and her court raised the Irish Flag over City Hall.

It was a huge honor for the 2013 Colleen.

“I've lived in Chicopee my whole life and I've always driven by City Hall and saw the Irish flag during St. Patrick's Day, and being Irish, it's a really great thing to see and have in the city of Chicopee,” said McKenzie Vershon. “And being the Colleen this year, having the ability to raise the flag is just unbelievable.”

The Colleen and her court will take part in the Holyoke St. Patrick's Parade this Sunday.
