SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - It was a blast from the past at the Springfield's Boys & Girls Club's first annual Jazz Fantasia.
Over 100 guests gathered at the Museum of Springfield History for the "Harlem Renaissance"- themed event; guests donning their best 1920s costumes.
The event even came complete with a live jazz band.
Funds raised through the dinner/auction will benefit the Boys & Girls Club Family Center in Springfield.
Sarah Tsitso, Executive Director at the Boys & Girls Club, told 22News, “This directly impacts the 500 children we serve at the Acorn Street Boys & Girls Club. All proceeds will go to different programs, serving children three to eighteen.”
As of 10pm Saturday, Tsitso told 22News they raised almost $20,000 from the event.
