WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - New research claims that the library in your community is more popular than ever.
That's no surprise to West Springfield librarian Toni Golinski-Foisy. She's observed a steady increase in the popularity of the town library.
Golinski-Foisy told 22News, Libraries aren't just for books anymore, “The community center for every town. We have meetings here, we have programs.”
“Programs for children story time, crafts, and songs; it's a good thing,” said Joanne Roberts of West Springfield.
During the winter, 60 people every hour come to the West Springfield Library. During the summer, that number increases to 100 every hour.
