LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) - A man armed with a hatchet robbed the Cumberland Farms on East Street in Ludlow shortly after 2:00 Friday morning.
Ludlow Police Sergeant Joe Metcalf told 22News that the man was wearing a brown coat, hood, mask, and gloves. No additional description was available.
According to Sgt. Metcalf, the store clerk wasn't hurt, and the robber ran out of the store after the robbery, with an undetermined amount of cash.
The robbery comes less than a month after another robbery at a Cumberland Farms store on West Street. In that case, a man pointed a gun at the store's clerk before getting away with cash from the register. There is no word on whether these robberies are connected.
If you have any information, call the Ludlow Police at (413) 583-8305.
