Man injured after car crashes into tree

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - An 18 year old is in the hospital this morning after crashing a car into a tree.  

It happened at around 2:15 Tuesday morning in front of 572 Dwight Road.

Springfield Police Captain Cheryl Claprood told 22News the teen was bleeding from the mouth and was taken to Baystate Medical Center.

No word on the extent of his injuries, but Captain Claprood said speed was a factor in the crash.
