SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield homicide detectives are investigating the city's 13th murder of 2010 .
Captain Cheryl Clapprood told 22News that 21 year old Sowayne Rankin left a drug store near State Street around 6:00 PM Wednesday when he was stabbed one time in the heart.
Several witnesses saw him run into the street to flag cars down for help.
He collapsed in the street near Mapledell Street.
Captain Collins said the 21 year old Springfield man died at Baystate Medical Center.
Detectives are talking to witnesses, but so far there are no suspects and no arrests.
