SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield police are on the lookout for a man who robbed the Walgreens at 501 Sumner Avenue Saturday night.
Springfield police Lt. John Bobianski told 22News that just after 7:00 pm on Saturday evening, a man who was walking around inside the store walked up to the pharmacy counter, took out a silver handgun and demanded narcotics. He left with six 100-count bottles of Oxycodone and ran away down Belmont Avenue toward East Longmeadow.
The suspect is described as a clean shaven, white male, around 6-feet tall wearing dark clothing.
The detective's bureau is investigating and reviewing the store's footage.
