Man shot in Springfield's South End

(wwlp) SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Springfield Police say a shooting victim was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the back in Springfield's South End.

Springfield Police Lt. John Bobianski told 22News the man was shot near the gas station at the intersection of Main and Saratoga Streets around 7:30 Wednesday night.

The victim was conscious and talking when he got in the ambulance, according to Lt. Bobianski. His condition now is unknown.

Police are looking for a thin man dressed in all black.
