Man stabbed during home invasion on Garfield Street

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield Police have made an arrest in a home invasion in the city's Forest Park neighborhood where one man was stabbed.

Lt. David Martin told 22News that a man entered the home invasion happened just after midnight at 60 Garfield Street where he stabbed a man in the abdomen and forearm.

Martin said the victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center and is reported in good condition.

Police spotted the suspect leaving the home with items and arrested him.

  • A&B Dangerous Weapon on Person Over 60
  • Mayhem
  • Default Warrants
  • Carrying a Dangerous Weapon While Having an Active Warrant
  • Assault on a Police Officer (Knife)
  • Resisting Arrest
