SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A man is in the hospital after Springfield police say he was stabbed by his ex-girlfriend.

It happened just after 1:00AM Monday outside 128 Mill Street.

Captain Cheryl Claprood told 22News that 52 year old Thomas Baldwin allegedly violated his restraining order by going to his ex-girlfriend's house.

According to Captain Clapprood, Baldwin hit 26 year old Christina Bouliard, so she stabbed him. Baldwin was taken to the hospital.

He is charged with two counts of violating a restraining order and domestic assault and battery.
