AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - The Agawam Police are looking for a possible serial pharmacy robber.
A man with a mask walked into the CVS Pharmacy at 163 Silver Street just after 9:00PM Thursday.
Lt. Edward McGovern told 22News he jumped the pharmacy counter, flashed a gun that he had in his waistband, made his way into a secure drug storage area and started putting Oxycodone pills in a bag.
A store clerk watched as the man bagged the pills, and ran out the rear emergency exit.
The pharmacy was closed Thursday night, but is back open Friday morning.
The man is described as white, in his early 20's, and just over 6-feet tall.
When asked if the robbery may be connected to a series of recent similar robberies, Lt. McGovern said they are looking into that. He said the description of the suspect is similar.
The Walgreens on Main Street in Florence was robbed twice. Once on October 19th and before that on October 3rd. And in September, Oxycodone pills were also stolen from the Walgreens on Sumner Ave.
The CVS at 163 Silver Street in Agawam is right at the intersection of Suffield Street.
Lt. McGovern said they have surveillance video of the man and may release it sometime on Friday.
If you have any information call Agawam Police at 786-4767.
