BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) - Two people are being credited with saving a man's life after he was in a car accident late Monday afternoon.

Belchertown police chief Fran Fox told 22News, the man was driving a silver pick up truck on George Hannum Street in Belchertown when a black sedan hit his car.

He went into cardiac arrest, but two off duty medical personnel saw the accident and immediately performed CPR.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he is recovering Monday night.

The driver of the black sedan and two passengers suffered minor injuries.
