SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Bullying isn't just a teenagers' problem any more.
A new survey found that 53 million adults are affected by bullying at work.
43 percent of U.S. workers said they have experienced incivility and 20 percent said they have quit a job because of a hostile work environment.
Many people told 22News, this survey actually doesn't surprise them.
“Most work environments now are more like high school than adult related. There is a way to fix it. It has to do with people's attitudes and the way certain people approach other people,” Chantee Reid told 22News.
The survey from Workplace Bullying Institute also found 68% of workplaces do not have a policy regarding bullying.
And experts said, those companies should establish a way for employees to report bullying.
