Mass Pike billboard draws attention

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A new billboard on the Mass Pike in Chicopee is bound to garner some attention.

Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue has just put a billboard near exit six, which reads, "Stop Slaughtering Us", next to a picture of two horses.

22News wanted to find out if you found this offensive or thought this was something that kids should see.

Mike Riffenburg of Holyoke told 22News, "t here's no graphic image or anything like that, but I think I don't think it's too bad, I don't think little kids are paying that much attention to billboards."

In a statement, Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue says the point is to draw drivers to their website and it does not have gory pictures or videos, just what they claim are the facts about horse slaughter.
