SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield weekend Carnival for a good cause.

The Melha Shriners are busy this weekend raising money for their many projects. The Shriners are having a three day carnival at one of Springfield's most high profile intersections, Boston road and Parker Street, where Circuit City used to be. Melha Shriner Bill Faust told 22News, a lot of people aren't aware of the work of the Shriners.

“We have a saying sometimes. We're the best kept secret. A lot of people don't even know what the Shriner's hospital on Carew Street in Springfield is. You get the awareness of the community. We're still here, the Shriners are here and we want to help the kids,” Faust told 22News.

If you couldn't take the kids there this afternoon, the Shriner's carnival at Boston road and Parker Street will continue Sunday from one until six.
