SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Young business professionals got physical Saturday for a good cause.

The young professional society of greater Springfield decided on a dodge ball tournament at Springfield College to raise money for the Springfield YMCA.

When other New England chapters heard it was a dodge ball fundraiser, they made sure to enter the competition.

Jeremy Casey of young professional society told 22News, “We had people coming from Hartford, some from the Berkshires and a lot of people all across the New England area to come together for this tournament.”

Judging by Saturday's enthusiastic turnout, Casey wouldn't be surprised if the next dodge ball tournament attracts even more young professionals to test their fitness for avoiding the dreaded dodge ball.
