SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Native American Harvest Festival was held in Springfield Saturday.
The Connecticut Inter-Tribal Council entertained and educated visitors to the Springfield Museums on the Quadrangle green.
Native American Amanda Champagne provided insights into her culture.
“When Native American people come to a Native American gathering like this one, it is for the people to pray,” Champagne told 22News. “We usually have a circle of fire, but we didn't have one today.”
The Harvest Festival included the sale of traditional Native American crafts and icons.
