Students begin class inside new building at 9:44AM

LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - On Tuesday, students in Longmeadow will be attending class for the first time inside their new high school.

The new high school has been under construction for two years.

Some notable features the new building includes is: a new lobby, instruction areas in the academic wing for activity spaces, technological upgrades; as well as a new auditorium, gymnasium, media and fitness area--which will be available for use by Longmeadow residents during special non-school hours.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set to take place at 8 AM, and classes will officially start at 9:44 AM.
