HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A new Veterans' Assistance Center has opened at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home .

The Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam War will staff the new office.
So far, most of the veterans concerns fall into several categories, said DAV service worker Lori Santy.

“How do I file a disability claim? How can I get my education benefits? My husband recently passed away and was a disabled veteran: Am I entitled to anything?” Santi used as examples.

The Vetetrans' Assistance Center is open twice a week on Monday and Friday.  If you want to make an appointment, call the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home at (413) 532-9475.
