LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Friday, the victims of the Sandy Hook School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut will be honored across the country with a moment of silence.
At the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home in Ludlow, they decorated this tree with 26 angels to honor the 20 children and 6 adults who were killed one week ago.
Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy has asked that houses of worship toll the bells 26 times.
Similar remembrances will happen this morning at the Mitteneague Congregational Church in West Springfield, the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow and the High School of Commerce in Springfield.
For the past week, people of different faiths have come together to pray for peace and healing during vigils.
