WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - People living near Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield should be expecting more planes in the sky at night next week.

According to Maj Matthew Mutti, from March 11-14, the 104th Fighter Wing will be conducting nighttime training missions with their F-15s.

The nighttime missions will begin at about 6:30 P.M. and will be over by 10:00 P.M.

Mutti says that holding such exercises at night is necessary to helping Barnes airmen to be able to respond to an emergency at any time across the Northeast.
