Woman struck, killed by truck in West Springfield

Memorial Ave. now open

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Memorial Ave in West Springfield Thursday night.

West Springfield Traffic Sergeant Hubert Reese told 22News the woman was crossing the street, heading towards the Lattitude Restaurant when she was struck by a black pickup truck.

A portion of Memorial Ave was shut down while police reconstructed the accident.  Memorial Ave. re-opened just before 11pm.
