SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Penn National Gaming announced Thursday a new partnership with the Early Childhood Centers of Greater Springfield.
Penn National bused in toys and supplies to the center on Catharine Street in Springfield.
According to a Penn National representative, the partnership will result in financial support from the gaming company and an agreement that ECCGS will provide on-site childcare for the employees at Penn National's proposed North End casino.
ECCGS Executive Director James Ward said that they are grateful for the gifts, but even happier to be involved in something new.
"We are just very excited about being a part of this revitalization in Springfield," Ward said.
