SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - It was another hot and humid day Friday for many of us, and temperatures are only expected to get hotter.
22News found out that even you can beat the heat, even if you spent the day outdoors.
It was no surprise to find the Forest Park pool and sprinklers filled with people trying to cool off.
22News asked people how they plan to beat the heat and stay cool in an expected heat wave.
“I bring the kids to the Blunt Park pool a lot,” said Jennifer Bodge of Springfield. “We use that pool and we use the Chicopee State Park, we go there to cool off a lot, too.”
Kellen Mooney of Chicopee says that she mostly likes to remain indoors.
“Stay inside, stay in the A.C. as much as possible, and then come out to the pool,” she said.
If you plan to say indoors, Experts say air conditioning is the number one way to prevent over-heating. If your home isn't air conditioned, they suggest going to malls or libraries during the hottest part of the day.
