Pet food drive benefits animal shelter

AGAWAM, Mass (WWLP) - You can help our four legged friends at the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society.

Saturday, March 12th, Six Flags New England will host their second annual pet food drive.

Six Flags will be collecting pet food, pet supplies and monetary donations.

There will be plenty of activities and raffles for all who attend.

The first 25 people to donate five or more items will receive one complimentary-one-day ticket to Six Flags New England for the 2011 season.

The event is from 2pm to 4pm and will take place at the Six Flags New England Human Resources Center at 1756 Main Street, Agawam.

No pets are allowed at the event, due to safety reasons.

The Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society provides service to Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties.

Dakin is a private, non-profit organization that does not receive government funding.
