WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - More than a few people were surprised on Monday when the Piccadilly Pub restaurant on Riverdale road in West Springfield shut down.
Not even West Springfield Mayor Greg Neffinger had any idea that the Picccadilly Pub had closed. The only notice was this letter on the front door that they were temporarily closed. There's no word when they'd re-open.
Their longtime next door neighbors told 22News they were caught completely by surprise.
“We've been eating lunch there. My boss was there just last weekend. No one said anything. We have a pretty good relationship with them. They even let us use part of the parking lot to park cars sometimes,” said Tracy Anderson of Red’s Towing.
22News called the number listed on the letter for more information. So far the company hasn't gotten back to us.
