SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - If you haven't heard about it yet, Pinterest is the hot new social media site.
It's a virtual "pinboard" that users can capture and organize materials from the web all in one place.
A recent study from “shareaholic” shows the network now drives more referral traffic than Google+, Linkedin and Youtube combined.
People can pin things like recipes, trends, new ideas and things they want to try.
For those who haven't heard of it, it's an intriguing new social media site they want to use.
Springfield resident Bellia Carvalho told 22News, “I do have catalogues and clothes and things like that on Facebook. It's kind of interesting.”
Lisa Perales, also a Springfield resident, said, “The recipes, I'm always in the kitchen. I’ve got some wild ones, hot, I like hot dishes.”
The only thing is... you have to get an invite before you can start your own virtual pinboard.
