SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A 25-year-old Springfield woman survived only a few hours after she was stabbed multiple times in her apartment around one o'clock Saturday morning.
Springfield Captain of Detectives Peter Dillon told 22News, the woman was stabbed several times at her apartment at 130 Washburn Street in the city’s Brightwood neighborhood.
Captain Dillon described the dead woman's boyfriend, 30-year-old Jose Santiago as a person of interest.
Santiago and the stabbing victim reportedly had what Captain Dillon described as an on and off relationship.
The 25-year-old woman is the third person to die violently in Springfield since the start of the year.
