SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Tuesday night, residents in Western Massachusetts were able to get free legal advice by phone through the Dial-A-Lawyer call-in program.

The Massachusetts Bar Association's semiannual event gives you the opportunity to phone in any legal concerns, free of charge.

Over a dozen lawyers were on hand at Western New England University School of Law to answer calls.

Jennifer Rosinski, spokesperson for the Mass. Bar Association, told 22News, “Most of our calls are related to bankruptcy problems, credit card problems, someone who wants custody of their child. Really serious everyday problems people grapple with.”

Dial-A-Lawyer is held every year, twice a year in mid October and in May.
