Raising money for Victoria Ambrose

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Bill Wells of Wilbraham did his part Saturday to help secure the future of Kevin Ambrose’s 4-year-old granddaughter.

Wells was a friend and neighbor to the slain Springfield police officer who was killed in the line of duty last June.

On Saturday Wells ran 36 miles from Forest Park to raise money for Victoria Ambrose's education.

“Right after Kevin was killed I really wanted to do something for the family just to chip in and show support,” said Bill Wells.

In addition to money raised during the run, Bill Wells said donations to the Victoria Ambrose educational fund may be sent to:
