AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - A refrigerator truck was heavily damaged by fire Monday afternoon at the Hood Plant on Main Street in Agawam.

Agawam Fire Lt. Jim Lancour told 22News the 25-foot refrigerator truck caught fire around 4:00PM Monday.

The fire was mostly contained to the truck.

The truck was parked close to the building so the plant did suffer some minor exterior damage.

Some people in the area had reported an explosion.

Lt. Lancour said that was a tire exploding.

No one was injured.
