Residents band together to clear snow

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Some Springfield residents say they're so fed up waiting for the city to plow their streets, that they're clearing the snow away themselves.

Among them are the people who live on Wait Street in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield.

Jeffrey O'Toole-Roselli told 22News, they just got tired of waiting for the city to plow their street.

He said the people on his street have a message for the city, “Plow us out you know. Bring a payloader in and load up the dump trucks, we don't care we want to get it off our streets. That's all we're asking and the city said to us before, we'll be here in 24 hours and here we are 24 hours later, we're still buried.”

You may remember that 22News was instrumental in getting the city to truck the snow out of Wait Street during a big storm two years ago.

O'Toole-Roselli said the people on his street could use some help again.
