WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - School Street Bistro in Westfield closed Tuesday without any prior warning to customers.
The sign on the door said "Temporarily closed, November 27, 2012." When 22News called the restaurant, we got their normal voicemail message. Their recorded message said nothing about Tuesday's closing.
Westfield residents who spoke with 22News wondered if the economy had anything to do with the temporary shut down.
“I know certain days, business picks up, like on the weekends,” said Beth Kellogg of Westfield. “That's probably why; business is slow during the week. On Elm Street I noticed a lot of stores are closed.”
The restaurant's website and Facebook page had no messages regarding Tuesday’s closing.
