FEEDING HILLS, Mass. (WWLP) - A reality television series on A&E, Storage Wars, features auctioneers who go to storage lockers with unpaid charges and auction off the contents.

Thursday at Uncle Bob's Storage in the Feeding Hills section of Agawam, there was a public auction like the kind we see on the reality TV show. The purpose: to sell what was inside a few lockers with outstanding balance. Many people who came to the auction, like Chris Demers, say that they were simply curious. “Pretty much you know looking if anything's valuable around here and maybe make a quick dollar too. That's about it,” Demers said.

According to a legal notice, many items in the storage lockers were household goods, furniture, appliances, tools and sporting goods.

In many cases, storage unit renters have until the day of auction to make their payments.
