SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Hundreds of Chicopee senior citizens will attend an all expense paid visit to Bright Nights next month.

Seniors started registering early Saturday morning at the Knights of Columbus Elder Council.

Mayor Michael Bissonnette began the Bright Nights for seniors program five years ago.

Judy Pacheco told 22News she's anxious to ride a Bright Nights bus through Forest Park again, “It's very enjoyable and it's nice of the mayor and the city of Chicopee to do this for the seniors. It's a great time at Christmas time and everybody gets to see each other and enjoy it.”

The hundreds of Chicopee senior citizens will get to see Bright Nights during the second week of December.
