SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - On Saturday night, four separate break-ins took place within four hours in Springfield's Liberty Heights and Pine Point neighborhoods.

  • 7:30PM - Slater Avenue
  • 8:00PM - Candace Circle
  • 8:30PM - Denver Street
  • 11:30PM - Atwater Terrace

Police say no one was hurt in these incidents, but residents told 22News they don't feel safe.

"It is scary....I really don't know why it's happening...I don't understand", said Springfield native, Lysete Supersad.

"It's a great city but with all these break-ins you have to be concerned...", Jared Barklow told 22News.

Police say they're following leads after finding a pocketbook and some credit cards on Wilton Street. The suspect is described as an African-American man, who was last seen dressed all in black, and wearing a black skull cap.

If you have any information you're asked to call the Springfield Detective Bureau at (413) 787-6355.
