Arrest made after major accident on Memorial Drive

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - An arrest has been made after two cars crashed on Memorial Drive in Chicopee early Thursday morning.

The accident took place at 2:04 AM, right in front of the Taco Bell on Memorial Drive.

Lt. Patrick Major confirmed with 22News that a man was arrested in connection with the accident, but that's all the information he could release.

Police said there were injuries, but could not comment on how many people were injured or the extent of the injuries.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident was a sedan, that rolled over in front of Taco Bell; the other was a minivan.

Police called-in a reconstruction team to investigate.

Memorial Drive is open to drivers.
