(wwlp) AGAWAM, Mass. - On a day when the Labor Department announced the nation's unemployment rate inched up a bit, Six Flags New England in Agawam announced some Autumn job opportunities.
With temperatures in the nineties, the Six Flags water park was bustling on this Friday afternoon. But as Summer starts to wind down, Six Flags is gearing up for what they're planning to be one of their biggest Fall "Fright Fests" ever.
They told 22News they're looking for talented people who like to dress up and be scary.
"We are hiring for that. August 10th is our next audition. We are looking to double the midway monsters you see out there. So if you want to scare, act, even dance... we're looking for you. So come out on August 10th," said Six Flags entertainment department production coordinator Eric Boucher.
Boucher says Six Flags plans to make this year's Fright Fest bigger, scarier and more fun. He said they're adding "more monsters, more attractions and new shows." He said there would be some new "family stuff" for the kids as well.
Fright Fest takes place in the weeks leading up to Halloween.
