CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - The Massachusetts Gaming Commission plans to issue a license for the state's lone slots parlor by September 1st.

The decision to advance the timeline by three months was made at Thursday’s weekly meeting.

Gaming Commission Chairman Stephen Crosby said the casino license timeline has not moved, with the commission anticipating starting to issue licenses in the beginning of 2014.

There are currently three developers interested in the slots license, with a fourth developer still undecided.
